United Methodist Women

Purpose of United Methodist Women

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women
is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus
Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through
participation in the global ministries of the church.

The Elkton United Methodist Women became a six-star unit in 2008 by giving above required levels for mission and other Un-designated Giving items.

UMW Circles

We currently have three circles meeting for fellowship and service.
Visitors and new members are always welcome!

The Amanda Kite Circle meets the 1st Monday night at 7:00 pm of each month

The Wesleyan Circle meets the 1st Tuesday night at 7:00 pm of each month

The Elsie Cover Circle meets the 2nd Thursday afternoon 1:30 pm of each month.

Please SAVE your Campbell’s Soup labels. Bring them to church and place them in the marked
box in the Assembly room. Those all go to help the Red Bird Mission. These labels directly
benefit the schools, its students and the mission.

We are working on a scrapbook of the church. Anyone having pictures or articles please give
them to Jeri. One is completed and you may see it at church!

Continue to remember the shut-ins by your visits, cards, and calls.
