Elkton United Methodist Church Staff

David Reynolds, Pastor

Pastor Dave

Pastor David Reynolds is an ordained elder in the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church. He was first

ordained while a student at Drew University Theological School in Madison, New Jersey in 1979. He has been serving
churches full-time since 1980. David was appointed to Elkton United Methodist Church in June 1992.

The heart of David’s ministry in the church is found in the weekly rhythm of worship. David, with the help of a very
able music staff, seeks to plan each worship service so that through experiencing the Word of God in both preaching and
music, the transforming good news of God’s presence among us, and love for all in Jesus Christ is proclaimed.
David is enthusiastic about both styles of worship offered at Elkton UMC. “He hopes that each worship service
in it’s own way will speak to both “head” and “heart,” and that worshippers will encounter our risen Lord and
feel helped along on their journey of faith.”

David loves Elkton UMC and the Elkton community and invites everyone to become involved in the on-going
life of study, care, mission, prayer and worship of this church. He feels this community of faith is a
wonderful witness to the love of Christ.
